Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how 18PlusPDF (the "Service," "we," "our" or "us") handles subscriptions, billing, cancellations and refund requests for users of our digital document-processing platform. Because our service provides instant access to premium tools and storage, we cannot "return" digital content once access is granted. Therefore, we want to be transparent about when payments are non-refundable and how you can cancel recurring subscriptions.
1. Overview
Digital services are non-returnable. When you purchase a subscription to 18PlusPDF, you immediately receive full access to our online PDF tools, file conversions and cloud processing. Like other digital products and subscription services, once you have benefited from the service we do not provide refunds for the time you have already used. We encourage you to review our feature descriptions and, if available, take advantage of any free trial before subscribing.
2. Subscription Billing and Renewals
Billing cycle.
Subscriptions may be offered on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis or even daily or weekly basis. The subscription fee (the "Subscription Fee") is always billed in advance and recurs automatically at the beginning of each billing period until you cancel. Renewal charges will occur using the payment method on file and at the prevailing rate unless you cancel prior to the renewal date.
Non-refundable fees.
All subscription payments are final and non-refundable. We do not issue refunds or credits for partial months or unused portions of your subscription. This means that if you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your current billing period, but you will not receive a refund for amounts already paid.
Free trials and promotional offers.
If we offer a free trial or promotional period, you may cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Once the trial converts to a paid subscription, the Non-Refundable Fees rule applies.
3. Cancelling Your Subscription
How to cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account settings and following the cancellation prompts, or by contacting our support team (see Section 8). To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must submit your cancellation request before your renewal date.
Effective date of cancellation.
Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active through the end of your current billing period. After that period, your account will be downgraded or closed, and you will no longer have access to premium features. We may, at our discretion, allow you a short grace period (but not necessarily) to retrieve your files after cancellation, but this is not guaranteed.
4. Exceptions and Limited Refunds
While our general policy is that all sales are final, we may consider issuing a refund in the following limited circumstances:
Duplicate or erroneous charges.
If you were billed multiple times for the same subscription or were charged after cancelling, please notify us within seven (7) days of the transaction. We will investigate and, if confirmed, will reverse the duplicate charge or erroneous billing.
Service outages or technical failures.
We strive to maintain uninterrupted service, but if an extended outage or technical issue directly attributable to 18PlusPDF substantially affects your ability to use the Service, you may be eligible for a refund or credit at our discretion.
Legal obligations.
We comply with applicable consumer protection laws. If your jurisdiction requires a cooling-off period (e.g., certain EU laws grant a 14-day withdrawal right for digital services that have not yet been accessed), your statutory rights will apply. Once you begin using the Service or access digital content, you may waive such rights as permitted by law.
Requests outside of these specific scenarios are generally ineligible for refunds. In particular, you are not eligible for a refund due to a change of mind, lack of use, dissatisfaction with content, or failure to cancel before renewal.
5. Chargebacks and Disputes
Because our policy clearly states that Subscription Fees are non-refundable, we do not permit chargebacks intended to circumvent this policy. If you initiate a chargeback, we may provide your transaction details and communications to the payment processor or financial institution to resolve the dispute and may suspend or terminate your account pending resolution.
6. Modifying Subscription Plans
You may upgrade your subscription at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you will be charged a prorated amount based on the remaining time in your billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period; we do not issue refunds for downgrades.
7. Communication and Notice
We will send important notices, such as renewal reminders or changes to this policy, to the email address associated with your account. It is your responsibility to keep your contact information up to date and to review any updates. Continued use of the Service after updates become effective indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
